Deli Duties:
Senior Deli Clerk responsible for the hot lunch program, as well as acting as back up to the Senior Deli Order Clerk during the work week. Covering vacations and illness, including ordering responsibilities.
This is a full time position, requiring 36-40 hours/week in June, July & August, and roughly 32 hours per week the balance of the year.
Qualifications:
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, works well with a team. Detail oriented. Ability to focus. Retail experience is a plus. Cooking experience is a must but does not require that it was professional cooking. Food safe required. (This training will be provided if it is not already in place).
The Co-op is a unionized workplace (UFCW 1518). All new hires are required to join the union as a condition of employment.
Wage, Benefits & Bonus Info:
Based on the current union contract this position has a maximum potential wage of 25.23/hr. Starting salary ranges from 19.77-21.50/hr depending onexperience. If you are interested in year round work, with an excellent benefits package, a profit share program, and other bonuses, and you have a good work ethic, this could be a good fit for you. Alternatively, we would be open to a job-sharing scenario if we had 2 candidates interested in working 16-24 hours a week each.

We have a year-round Clerk-Cashier position open in our Hardware Department. Duties include department opening and closing, working the tills, stocking, and various other tasks required by the department.
Must be over 19, able to lift and carry up to 20 kg comfortably, and have a willingness to pitch in where needed.
We are also a liquor store, so government mandated ‘Serve It Right’ Certificate is required. Certification will be paid for by the Co-op and be completed during work hours.
Cashier and general retail and/or liquor store sales experience are assets.
Wage, Benefits & Bonus Info:
Wages start at $18.59 per hour which can increase depending on prior experience.
Employees get a 10% discount on store products.
Once the probation period is complete, we have extended medical, RRSPs, profit sharing, & various staff events.
