We have a year-round Clerk-Cashier position open in our Hardware Department. Duties include department opening and closing, working the tills, stocking, and various other tasks required by the department.
Must be over 19, able to lift and carry up to 20 kg comfortably, and have a willingness to pitch in where needed.
We are also a liquor store, so government mandated ‘Serve It Right’ Certificate is required. Certification will be paid for by the Co-op and be completed during work hours.
Cashier and general retail and/or liquor store sales experience are assets.
Wage, Benefits & Bonus Info:
Wages start at $18 per hour which can increase depending on prior experience.
Employees get a 10% discount on store products.
Once the probation period is complete, we have extended medical, RRSPs, profit sharing, & various staff events.

This position is a regular position 2-3 days a week in the Post Office, plus additional hours to help cover P/O duties re vacations, illness, and leaves. It would suit someone interested in part time work in a postal retail environment. There is room to grow into greater responsibility within the store.
Duties: Includes a wide range of Post Office tasks, Customer Service duties desk duties, and some phone answering for the store. Other Duties as Assigned. Some Heavy Lifting.
Union membership as usual. Availability may include Saturdays. The P/O is closed on Sundays and Stat holidays. This position offers regular 12-18 hours/week plus possible additional for additional coverage when needed.
Starting wage is $18.00/hr with some possible consideration to related experience. On-the-job training in Post Office procedures using Canada Post issued self-study guides and on-line training.
Qualifications: Positive attitude, comfortable with computers, willingness to learn, works well with a team. Detail oriented and ability to focus. Retail experience & computer skills are a plus.
