We have a year-round Clerk-Cashier position open in our Hardware Department. Duties include department opening and closing, working the tills, stocking, and various other tasks required by the department.
Must be over 19, able to lift and carry up to 20 kg comfortably, and have a willingness to pitch in where needed.
We are also a liquor store, so government mandated ‘Serve It Right’ Certificate is required. Certification will be paid for by the Co-op and be completed during work hours.
Cashier and general retail and/or liquor store sales experience are assets.
Wage, Benefits & Bonus Info:
Wages start at $18.59 per hour which can increase depending on prior experience.
Employees get a 10% discount on store products.
Once the probation period is complete, we have extended medical, RRSPs, profit sharing, & various staff events.

This position is a regular Grocery Clerk position and intended to be trained to regularly support the senior grocery clerks as well as during vacations, illness, leaves, and additional scheduling flexibility.
Duties: Ordering, receiving, and stocking of product. Till break coverage as needed. Supervising staff. Customer Service and other Duties as Assigned. Some Heavy Lifting.
Must be available 24-32 hours per week, more during July & August.
Union membership is a requirement.
Pay: Starting wage range is $18.59 to $19.24/hr depending on relevant and recent experience, plus 10% staff discount upon hiring. An additional hourly premium when covering duties of a Senior clerk applies.
Once past probation position qualifies for health benefits, RRSP contributions, and in year 2, eligibility for profit sharing bonus.
Qualifications: Positive attitude, eager to gain product knowledge, willingness to learn, works well with a team. Detail oriented and ability to focus. Retail experience & computer skills are a plus. Some weekend work will be required.
